I wish there was a way to search for duplicate profiles and manage them.

We would like to use the New Donor report, but we have so many people at our church that use different profile information. I’m constantly going through the profiles and merging those that I can. Sometimes a husband has two profiles and sometimes they also have a joint one…and they will give using both. For that reason, I don’t think we will ever be able to use this first-time donor report, because it doesn’t yield accurate results.

Agree - When I ran the report, it only showed that one donor gave in a four year span of time. Definitely not accurate unfortunately, but love the concept and hope the report begins to work. It could be very useful in sending out timely Thank You’s! Look forward to the change to be soon!!

Dana, we have exact same issue at our church. I also notified Aware3 about this and put out a suggestion of how to identify new donors. Email should not be used because too many people have mulitiple emails. Thanks Dana!

We’re excited to share that we’ve just released a new ‘Potential Duplicates’ tool! Choose whether to merge or ignore Profiles flagged as having matching information.

Additional Improvements:

• You can now merge an unlimited number of Profiles at once.
• When merging Profiles, fields that already match will not appear on the ‘Merge Profiles’ screen, making merging faster!
